VHI'S HIT PROGRAM ADVISOR PURSUES NEW OPPORTUNITY AT BOUTIQUE CONSULTANT FIRM

Rachel Fried, who has been with Virginia Health Information (VHI) since 2017, is leaving the information organization for a new opportunity as Primary Research Analyst (PRA) for Splash 4 Partners (S4P). Rachel will join S4P on March 1, 2021, after three years at VHI, first as Program Manager of ConnectVirginia Health Information Exchange and then as Health Information Technology (HIT) Program Advisor. "Rachel has played a vital role in helping launch the Emergency Department Care Coordination Program (EDCCP) as well as, developing relationships with partner organizations, stakeholders, potential new participants and government officials," says Deborah K. Waite, VHI's Chief Operating Officer.

"I am proud of my time at VHI and I wish the organization all the best for the future. VHI is very well positioned as Virginia's one-stop-shop for data, and I believe the EDCCP will continue to encourage interoperability," says Rachel Friend, HIT Program Advisor, VHI. "I am proud of what we established at VHI, and, as I transition to Splash and the advisory industry, I would like to thank all of my VHI colleagues for more than three years of friendship and cooperation."

We are excited that Rachel has been presented with this opportunity and using her skills that she developed at VHI in a new capacity. We will miss her dearly and wish her luck on her new endeavor!
